A school for integrating living and learning to keep alive the age old sanctities of natural resources

An integrated experience

The institution undertakes to make learning and living an integrated experience through the child’s involvement in planting and nurturing indigenous trees and cropping fruits and vegetables for the resident children’s consumption. Along with envisioning the conservation of natural environment and promoting a proximity to the earth, Bal Prakash focuses on eradication of child labour by a meaningful blend of education and vocation.

Life at Bal Prakash is geared to inculcating self-reliance.

Activities that sustains the ties of these rural children with the soil are encouraged and an endeavour is made to engage them in elementary horticulture, vermi-culture, cattle keeping for dairy, organic farming, nursery practices, carpentry, tailoring, making cloth/paper bags and sundry items of everyday use made from waste material, albeit at an elementary level, are afoot.
